SEO services Auckland

SEO services for Auckland businesses that want more enquiries, not more reports

Search engine optimisation covers a lot of ground. I don’t sell fixed packages. I work out which parts will actually move the needle for your business, then I do that work properly.

What’s involved

How search engine optimisation actually works

Whichever service you start with, good SEO comes down to a few disciplines working together. Here’s what each one involves, and how I handle it. For the wider picture, read my guide to SEO in Auckland.

Keyword and search-intent research

I map the searches your customers actually use, then group them by what the person wants. Someone searching “SEO audit cost” is in a different place from someone searching “what is an SEO audit”. Each group gets one clear page, so your own pages don’t end up competing with each other. More on keyword research and search intent.

Technical SEO

If Google can’t crawl, render and index a page properly, nothing else you do to it matters. This covers indexing controls, speed, mobile rendering, redirects, canonical tags and structured data. More on technical SEO.

On-page and content optimisation

Titles, headings and copy that clearly match the search, plus the detail that makes a page the best answer: pricing context, process, proof and common questions. I improve the pages you already have before writing new ones, because that’s usually where the quickest wins are. It helps to understand how Google reads a page.

Internal links and site structure

Internal links tell Google which pages matter and how topics relate. When services link to supporting guides and back again, authority flows to the pages that earn you money.

Local search

For most Auckland businesses, the map pack matters more than the organic results under it. Your Google Business Profile, reviews, citations and local content all feed into it. More on local SEO, or see how local search varies across Auckland.

Link building, done carefully

Links from relevant, reputable sites still matter. I focus on links a real business can earn: suppliers, partners, industry bodies, local media, sponsorships and content worth citing. I don’t buy links or use private blog networks. They put your site at risk of a penalty.

Measurement and reporting

Reports are built from Google Search Console, Google Analytics and enquiry tracking, so we can see which searches and pages lead to calls, form fills and sales. Here’s how I measure SEO.

Looking for an SEO company?

Agency, company or consultant: what’s the difference?

If you’ve been searching for an SEO agency or SEO company in Auckland, you’ve probably noticed they all sound the same. The real question is who will actually work on your site.

I’m an independent consultant. You get the senior person on every job, with no hand-offs. For very large content or link-building programmes, an agency with a bigger team may suit you better, and I’ll tell you if that’s the case. Here’s how to choose an SEO consultant.

Ground rules

A few things I won’t do

  • Guarantee rankings. No one can, and Google warns you to be wary of anyone who says otherwise.
  • Hide what’s been done. Every change is listed in plain English.
  • Buy links, spin content or churn out thin suburb pages.
  • Report on vanity keywords that nobody actually searches for.

FAQs

Questions about SEO services

Which SEO service should I start with?

For most businesses, an SEO audit. It shows what’s actually limiting your visibility, so you don’t spend money fixing the wrong things.

Do you write content as well?

Yes. I write and improve service pages and guides, and I can brief your own writers. It’s always based on research into what your customers search for and need to know.

Do you run Google Ads?

My focus is organic search. If paid search makes sense alongside SEO, I’ll explain how the two should work together and share what the organic data tells us about your keywords. SEO vs Google Ads sets out how to decide.

Do you only work with Auckland businesses?

Auckland is my focus, and local SEO here is where my area knowledge counts most. Technical, ecommerce and WordPress SEO don’t depend on location, so get in touch either way.

Not sure what your site needs first?

Tell me about the business and what you want more of. I’ll tell you honestly which services would help, and which wouldn’t.
